Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in Decatur, Illinois. LeAnne Kymes is also among the two youngest Grammy Award recipients. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23rd, 1971) is an American bluegrass-country singer and musician. She began to work in the business of music in the early years of her life. When she was 10, she won local contests, and then recorded her first album. Signed to Rounder Records, her first album was released in 1987. She was then invited to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, the band she currently performs with. Her first album in a group with this band came out in the year 1989.
